The other will expand frost bottom shrub and grass habitat at the Long Point Wildlife Refuge.

Six of the twelve grants awarded by this program last year supported creating disturbances that maintain grassland, shrublands and associated habitats on Cape Cod and the Islands.

This small-scale DFW grant program supports municipalities, land trusts and private landowners to maintain and improve target habitats, including sandplain grassland and shrubland habitats.
